1979 年に、ユニバーサルシティスタジオの上級副社長兼ゼネラルマネージャーおよび MCA のコーポレートバイスプレジデントに昇進。

ユニバーサルスタジオUSA 在籍中に、ユニバーサルスタジオUSAと友人のスティーブンスピルバーグとのジョイントベンチャーとして DTS USA を立ち上げました。

彼と映画監督スピルバーグは、

2003 年 7 月に会社を New York証券取引所に上場(IPO) に成功させました。

こういった経緯から、'93年6月11日にジュラシック・パークを全米876館で、DTS音声で公開された。

今日では、22,000スクリーン以上でDTSが採用され、年間約700本をDTS付きで制作されている。

In 1979, Daniel E. Slusser was promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Universal City Studios, as well as Corporate Vice President of MCA Inc.

During his tenure at Universal Studios USA, he co-founded DTS USA (Digital Theater Systems) as a joint venture between Universal Studios USA and his longtime friend, acclaimed filmmaker Steven Spielberg.

Working together with Steven Spielberg, Mr. Slusser successfully led the company to its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in July 2003.

As a result of this collaboration, Jurassic Park was released in the United States on June 11, 1993, in 876 theaters, featuring the revolutionary DTS digital sound system.

Today, DTS technology has been adopted by more than 22,000 cinema screens worldwide, with approximately 700 motion pictures produced each year using DTS audio.

Mr. Slusser also served as Vice President of Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. (WB).
